Swimmer useless after incident at Blowing Rocks Preserve recognized

MARTIN COUNTY − A 51-year-old man who died Dec. 29 after an obvious swimming-related incident at Blowing Rocks Preserve was recognized as Assaf Alek Golan, in keeping with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials have been known as Dec. 29 at 11:44 a.m. to the incident within the 500 block of South Beach Road, in excessive southeast Martin County.

Dispatchers have been informed Golan, of Quebec, the biggest province of Canada, went out into the ocean to snorkel, a sheriff’s report states.

“It was further relayed that Golan was possibly in distress due to the rough weather conditions,” a sheriff’s report states.

According to Martin County Fire Rescue, preliminary studies indicated an individual was a couple of half-mile offshore and appeared in misery.

“The family stated the patient had been snorkeling prior to the incident,” fireplace rescue officers acknowledged in a social media publish. “The family and patient appeared to be from out of the country and may have been unfamiliar with local water conditions.”

Three fireplace rescue officers went within the water and bought the person again to shore.

A deputy reported first responders carried out life-saving measures for a number of minutes earlier than Golan was taken to Jupiter Medical Center.
