Sun Bowl Fan Fiesta blends tradition, household enjoyable forward of Duke, ASU sport

Duke and Arizona State followers joined El Pasoans on the twenty seventh Annual Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl Fan Fiesta offered by El Paso Live.

The open-to-the-public pep rally on the El Paso conference middle featured a parade and battle of the bands between Duke and Arizona State, with mascots and cheerleaders cheering their groups on.

Valeria Rodriguez, an Arizona State graduate from El Paso, attended the Fan Fiesta together with her dad and mom, Manuel and Angelica Rodriguez.

“It’s very, very fun to come to my hometown and see my alma mater play,” Rodriguez mentioned.

Rodriguez mentioned she is happy as a result of the final time Arizona State performed within the Sun Bowl, in 2019, when the group performed Florida State, she was a freshman.

“It’s always nice to come home for the holidays, and being able to stay for the game is a little extra fun. It makes the holidays a little extra special,” she mentioned.

Karen Carrillo, a Sun Princess and a UTEP drum main, had the chance to assist direct the Duke and Arizona State marching bands in the course of the Battle of the Bands.
