WMass Swimming Roundup: East Longmeadow boys defeat Minnechaug

East Longmeadow boys swimming and diving defeated Minnechaug 54-47 on Friday night time.

In the 200-yard medley relay Jeffrey Carolne, Reid Trinceri and Vance Valenta got here in first place, ending in 1:51:14. In the 200-yard freestyle, Jon Kowalski completed in 1:50:64. Thomas Carlone positioned second in 1:51.84.

In the 200-yard IM, the highest two finishes got here from East Longmeadow’s Brenden Schmidt in 2:18.65 and Jeffrey Carlone in 2:23.52. In the 50-yard freestyle, Owen Messina got here in at 24.37 and behind him was Vance Valenta at 24.48.

In diving, the 2 finishers got here from Minnechaug’s Avery Coburn and Collin Purcell. In the 100-yard butterfly, Andrej Gupta from East Longmeadow completed in 59.57. Minnechaug’s Cameron Maziarz got here in second in 1:01:64.

In the 100-yard freestyle Minnnechaug’s Jon Kowalski got here in first place with a time of fifty.28 and East Longmeadow’s Thomas Carlone got here in at 1:03.82.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Brenden Schmidt of East Longmeadow completed with a time of 5:22.06 and Minnechaug Owen Messina completed in 5:42.76.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Jason Bessette, Vance Valenta, Brenden Schmidt, and Thomas Carlone got here in first place in 1:38.42 beating Collin Purcell, Owen Messina, Cameron Maziarz and Jon Kowalski with 1:38.73.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Jeffrey Carlone completed in 59.80 and Cameron Maziarz at 1:09.38. In the 100-yard breaststroke, East Longmeadow’s Jacob Schmidt got here in first place at 1:09.62 and only a minute later Minnechaug Nick Capen completed in 1:10.72.

Finally, it was the 400-yard freestyle relay, Minnechaug’s Owen Messina, Collin Purcell, Cameron Maziarz and Jon Kowalski completed in 3:47.36 and ten seconds later East Longmeadow’s Jeffrey Carolne, Andrej Gupta, Jacob Schmidt and Thomas Carlone completed in 3:57.17
