UNT Has Robust Exhibiting at FIU Sprint Invite

MIAMI – The UNT swimming and diving program had a robust displaying on Saturday in south Florida when the Mean Green battled forwards and backwards with host FIU earlier than being narrowly edged out on the FIU Sprint Invite, which featured a novel bracket model format for 50-yard sprints in every stroke.

The shoot out format for the 50s was really fun, and to get Majo and Mikaela as the top 2 breaststroke heat, and Jette in top 2 heat for the 50 Fly was great. We’re excited to kick off 2026 with such a strong showing, and I’m excited to build from here.”

There is a lot to be proud of and a lot of things to build off of in the coming weeks. We’re looking forward to some great training this week before we cap the trip off with another meet.”

UNT will stay within the Sunshine State and head to Boca Raton for a meet in opposition to FAU and Wagner on Friday.
