Boys swimming and diving roundup: Montevideo Thunder Hawks take ninth at West Fargo – West Central Tribune

WEST FARGO, N.D. — The Montevideo boys swimming and diving group positioned ninth of 15 groups on the massive West Fargo Border Battle on Saturday.

The West Fargo Packers received the Border Battle Invitational with 362 factors, adopted by the Fargo South Bruins’ 268 and Fargo Davies’ 214. Montevideo totaled 129.

Nolan Christopher had a pair of top-four finishes for the Thunder Hawks. The senior took third place within the 100-yard freestyle in 50.68 seconds and was fourth within the 200 freestyle in 1:52.35.

Montevideo junior Hayden Blom secured third place within the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.25. He was additionally sixth within the 50 freestyle in 22.95.

Blom and Christopher helped the 200 medley relay place sixth in 1:46.95 and the 400 freestyle relay take seventh in 3:34.69.

Montevideo hosts Hutchinson at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield positioned ninth within the Tiger Division of the Maroon and Gold Invite with 194 factors on the Jean Ok. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus at Minneapolis.

Winona was the group champion with 506. St. Michael-Albertville was second with 494.

DCL senior Matthew Defries had a pair of top-five finishes. He was third within the 50 freestyle at 23.30. That was adopted by a fifth-place displaying within the 100 freestyle at 51.18.

The 200 freestyle relay of Orrin Goldsberry, Parker Josephson, Noah Sarff and Defries completed in fourth at 1:36.43.

DCL hosts Willmar at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Cokato.
