From winter enjoyable to traditional musicals, there’s heaps to do that weekend

As we head into the second weekend of 2026, the “Live in the D” crew chatted about some enjoyable happenings in metro Detroit.

Here’s an inventory of some occasions for adults and kiddos:

–The Ultimate Fishing Show– Great for individuals who get pleasure from fishing or the nice outside. There will likely be dwell seminars, boat gross sales, a trout pond, the place children can fish, and extra.

Happening Thursday, January eighth via Sunday, January eleventh on the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

–Winter Park at Bowers Farms– Guests will get pleasure from tubing, cozy bonfires, treats, a hay stack with slide, visiting the animals, and extra.

Happening Fridays via Sundays till March 1st at Bowers Farms in Bloomfield Hills.

–Snowfort Jazz Festival– A Disco for youths ages 18 months to five years previous, and their caregivers. There will likely be dancing and enjoyable children actions.

Happening Friday, January ninth from 9 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. at The Hawk in Farmington Hills.

–All Shook Up– Stage play that includes music from Elvis Presley.

Happening now via February 1st at Meadow Book Theatre at Oakland University.

–Hairspray the Musical– The manufacturing will honor the unique musical with tunes from the traditional play.

Happening Thursday, January eighth via Sunday, January eleventh on the Village Theater at Cherry Hill in Canton Township.
