The Colorado College males’s and girls’s swimming and diving groups return to motion with a pair of twin meets in California this weekend. The Tigers will compete at Chapman University on Friday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. (PT), then at Occidental College on Sunday, Jan. 11, starting at 10 a.m. (PT).
 
Last Time Out
The ladies’s staff defeated Division II CSU-Pueblo, 141-96, on Dec. 6, in Pueblo. Freshman Annie Engstrom and junior Keller Pooley every posted a pair of particular person wins to steer the Tigers.
 
The Tigers (4-1) dominated the freestyle occasions on Saturday, with Engstrom capturing the 500- and 1000 races with occasions of 5:27.48 and 11:07.25, respectively.
 
Sophomore Julia Cox received the 200 freestyle (1:58.49), whereas seniors Sarah Buchman (54.77) and Megan Simonson (24.66) touched first within the 50 freestyle, respectively.
 
Pooley, in the meantime, received each 1-meter diving occasions (5 dives and 6 dives) on Saturday.
 
Four Tigers, juniors Alyssa Tunggal (500 free) and Isabella Cole (200 breast), sophomore Josie O’Sheridan (each diving) and freshman Livi Woolery (50 free) recorded a runner-up end on Saturday.

In the relays, Cox, Buchman, Woolery and SImonson captured the 200 free relay, whereas Woolery, Cole, Buchman and Cox mixed to complete second within the 400 medley relay.

Pooley Named SCAC Diver of the Week

Following the meet at CSU-Pueblo, Keller Pooley was named the SCAC Women’s Diver of the Week.
