Viking Males look to construct off win, journey to Billings Friday

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City State Men’s basketball workforce are on the street in Montana this weekend. Friday the Vikings tackle (RV) Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Saturday, they head to the capital metropolis and tackle #15 Carroll College in Helena.

The Vikings are 5-9 total and 1-8 within the Frontier Conference. They are coming off a 88-80 win over Providence final Saturday on the Bubble. Rocky Mountain comes into the sport 12-3 on the season and 7-2 within the Frontier Conference. Carroll College is 10-4 total and 8-1 within the convention.

JR Cison leads Valley City State in scoring (16.4 ppg), assists (32), and steals (12). He is coming off a 21-point, seven-assist sport in opposition to Providence final week. Kaleb Larson is averaging 12.8 factors per sport and is making 95 % of his free throws (19-20). Logan Deal is just below averaging in double figures for the season (9.9). But is averaging 10.3 factors per sport in convention play. Deal scored 16 factors and grabbed 15 rebounds within the win over Providence.

This would be the seventh assembly all-time between these two faculties. The Battlin Bears have gained 5 of the earlier six conferences. Rocky Mountain gained the final assembly, a 79-72 choice, in November of 2024.

This is the second assembly all-time between VCSU and Carroll College in basketball. The Fighting Saints gained the one assembly, 63-60, in Valley City in 2014.
