Toledo Drops MAC Twin Meet to Akron

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo girls’s swimming and diving workforce fell to Mid-American Conference opponent Akron on Saturday, 209-52.

Toledo (2-4, 1-3 MAC) picked up 9 top-three finishes within the meet, together with three second-place finishes.

Senior Janne Slegers took second within the 100 freestyle (51.74) and positioned third within the 50 freestyle (24.00). Senior Paula Pavillard-Salvador earned a second-place end within the 200 IM (2:14.19) whereas sophomore Grace Henely led the Rockets within the 200 breaststroke by taking second (2:26.14).

Sophomore Helena Pinto Coelho Lopes took third within the 200 free (1:55.54) whereas Sarah Poach earned a third-place end within the 200 butterfly (2:11.95). Freshman Claire Kemmere positioned third within the 500 free (5:08.82).

The 200 freestyle relay workforce of Slegers, Henely, Kenzie Robinson and Lopes earned a third-place end with a time of 1:48.35. The 400 freestyle relay squad consisting of Robinson, Slegers, Kemmere and Lopes touched the wall at 3:32.99 to take third.
