Tigers Down Occidental in Relay Twin

The Colorado College males’s swimming and diving workforce wrapped up its California journey with a 146-110 victory over Occidental College in a relay twin meet Sunday in Los Angeles.
 
Five Tigers have been part of a minimum of three profitable relay groups on Sunday. Sam Allen and Stephen Kim every received within the 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle races. Logan Loveday was victorious within the 200 backstroke, 400 freestyle and 1200 freestyle, whereas Mark Lofye was on the 200 backstroke, 500 freestyle and 1200 freestyle squads.
 
In addition, Liam McCarthy was on the boys’s 200 butterfly and 500 freestyle groups, in addition to the blended 400 medley relay and 200 freestyle groups.
 
In diving, Nico Rimer captured the 1-meter occasion with 276.29 factors, incomes his first regional lower rating as a Tiger. He additionally completed second within the 3-meter with 261.30 factors.
 
“Today was an outstanding team effort,” head coach Jen Buffin stated. “With it being a relay-focused meet, everyone had a chance to contribute, and the mixed relays created some exciting, close races that you don’t often see in college swimming. It really brought our teams together and sparked great internal competition. It’s rare that our men and women get to race side by side, and they embraced the opportunity. We got the job done and had a lot of fun doing it. We also had a great day on the boards with Nico earning his first-ever regional qualifying score. Now we turn our focus to the CC Classic.”

The Tigers return to motion by internet hosting the twenty seventh annual CC Classic subsequent weekend, Jan. 16-18, at Schlessman Natatorium.
