Colorado photographer John Fielder’s work on new U.S. stamp

Colorado wildlife photographer John Fielder’s work will quickly grace a U.S. stamp as a part of the state’s one hundred and fiftieth anniversary celebration, the U.S. Postal Service stated Tuesday.

The prolific and widespread Colorado nature photographer, who died in 2023 at 73, is getting his very personal stamp this month with Colorado Statehood, because the version shall be referred to as.

The forever-stamp contains a photograph of Jagged Mountain, a picturesque thirteener situated within the San Juan Mountain Range of southwestern Colorado shot by Fielder, with design by Derry Noyes, in accordance with a press release.

The U.S. Postal Service will maintain a free, public “first-day-of-issue” occasion at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, at History Colorado Center, 1200 Broadway in Denver, with commemorative editions of the stamp. Attendees can RSVP at usps.com/coloradostamp.
