Community reveals up for decrease Valley flood reduction fundraisers

Photos and information from the 2 occasions.

The two flood reduction fundraisers held in Carnation on Jan. 10 had been very profitable, in keeping with those that organized them.

The night started at Remlinger Farms with a dinner, raffle and silent public sale. Here, the Carnation Chamber of Commerce collected donations for the Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance’s Farmer Flood Relief Fund. The alliance (SVPA) helps flood victims by distributing micro-grants to farmers all through the Valley.

The occasion raised greater than $11,3oo finally counting, in keeping with chamber Vice President Erin Barzen.

All proceeds will go to SVPA, as every thing for the occasion was donated. Remlinger Farms donated its area and pie, Sysco Food Service donated the dinner meals, and volunteers “made it all happen,” Barzen mentioned.

Later on, the Carnation Farms Hippodrome held a fundraising live performance organized by Morgan Henley Presents. The lineup included Snoqualmie Valley bands Long and Strange and VibeMind, in addition to Austin Jenckes, a regionally beloved singer from Duvall who now lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

All proceeds from this sold-out occasion went to the Rotary Club of Duvall, which is distributing funds amongst many impacted households and farms within the Duvall space. Morgan Henley estimates the occasion raised at the very least $20,000 and counting.
