Swimming & Diving Sweeps Georgetown in Ninth Consecutive Meet

WASHINGTON – GW swimming & diving accomplished a sweep of Georgetown on Saturday because the Revolutionaries celebrated and honored its seniors on the Smith Center. The GW males’s workforce emerged with a 150-131 win, whereas the ladies’s workforce narrowly escaped, 141-140, in a meet that got here all the way down to the ultimate relay.  

Men’s Highlights

• Matija Radjenovic swam to victory within the 200-yard freestyle, tapping the wall in 1:38.72. 

• Ganesh Sivaramakrishnan (48.52) and Holden Thomas (49.22) tapped in first and second within the 100-yard backstroke, respectively. 

• Heitor Napolitano Fonseca Reis introduced house a win within the 200-yard fly (1:48.15). 

• Shae Stratton (1:46.58) raced to victory within the 200-yard backstroke. 

• Daniel Choi earned a first-place consequence within the 500-yard free (4:30.40)

• Daniel Nagy paced the sphere with a win within the 100-yard fly (47.81). 

• On the 3-meter board, Michael Wood (344.10) and Ben Bradley (33.98) completed atop of the competitors, ending in first and second. 

Women’s Highlights 

• GW’s 200-yard medley relay kicked the meet off with a win. The successful relay consisted of Logan Watson-Brown, Natalie Sens, Isabel Sayag and Joselle Mensah (1:42.42). 

• Ava Topolewski claimed victory within the 200-yard free (1:49.94). Topolewski later bested the sphere within the 50-yard free (23.66), ending simply earlier than Sens (23.72) in second, earlier than selecting up her third victory of the meet within the 500-yard free (4:51.81). 

• Mensah (1:04.35) and Julia Gomez Carpi (1:05.43) completed atop the 100-yard breaststroke. 

• Dara Reyblat (286.65) and Olivia Paquette (267.53) completed in first and second place within the 1-meter dive, respectively. In the 3-meter, Paquette (309.53) completed in first whereas Reyblat took second (259.50).

• To clinch the meet, the ladies’s 200-yard freestyle relay needed to end in first which they did, edging the Hoyas by 0.2 seconds. The relay was accomplished in 1:32.55, and was swam by Mensah, Colleen MacWilliams, Sens and Topolewski.
