Georgetown Swimming & Diving Falls to George Washington

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University males’s and ladies’s swimming & diving workforce fell to George Washington at Charles E. Smith Center on Saturday morning. The males fell 150-131 whereas the ladies misplaced 141-140.

“I am very proud of our team’s performance today against George Washington. Although it stung to have both teams come up just short, we took great steps forward! We had several season bests and breakthrough performances, which is helping our team race and dive more confidently than ever. Kudos to George Washington for some fun competition. MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

• The 200 medley relay workforce of Henry Haupt, Bailey De Luise, Daren Chen, and Owen Watkins captured first place with a time of 1:28.61.
• De Luise completed first within the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.28.
• Watkins completed first within the 50 free with a time of 20.16 and the 100 free with a time of 44.70.
• In the 200 breaststroke, Nick Pezzella captured first with a time of two:00.49
• In the 1M dive, Nico Santiago positioned first with a rating of 313.28.
• The 200 free relay workforce of Isaac Holtham, De Luise, Troy Keen and Watkins positioned first with a time of 1:22.04.

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

• In the 100 backstroke, Heidi Wu (55.39) and Lila Connor (56.08) completed in first and second, respectively.
• Angelica Reali positioned first within the 200 fly with a time of two:01.44 and the 100 fly with a time of 54.79.
• In the 100 free, Madeline Malone captured first with a time of 51.49.
• Wu captured first within the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:59.35.
• In the 200 breaststroke, Caroline Largen positioned first with a time of two:19.00.
• In the 100 IM, Reali (57.40), Wu (58.19) and Connor (58.37) completed in first, second and third, respectively.
