Robert Stephen Adams, “Steve”, of 138 Grant St, Eden, N.C., 82 years previous, died on January 19, 2026.
Services can be held at Fair Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2pm. Interment will observe at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden, beside his dad and mom. Visitation can be held one hour previous to the service.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Dr. Robert W. Adams, in May 2004 and his mom, Mary Taylor Adams, in January 2007. Steve was an solely baby and by no means married, however did have cousins in Hickory, N.C. (Robert, Anne, Martha, Eddie, Mildred, and Donald Taylor and Dickie, Norman, Hilda, and Robert Adams.
Steve was born in Hickory, N.C. in 1943, however grew up in Eden, N.C. and graduated from Morehead High School in Eden, N.C. in 1961 with honor. He obtained his BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from N.C. State University in 1965 and his Masters Degree in Engineering Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1968. He labored as an Electronic Engineer for the U.S. Government, National Security Agency, in Fort Meade, Maryland for 30 years and traveled worldwide for the Agency.
He retired again to North Carolina to assist care for his dad and mom throughout their senior years. He took each of his dad and mom all through Europe the place his dad fought in World War II in an Army Tank Division, and later took his dad and mom to Canada, Florida, and the Midwest space of the U.S. As one would possibly guess, Steve liked to work with digital devices, and was very keen on fixing previous radios in addition to putting in newer devices like satellite tv for pc radios for the house and automobiles.
