Get together time! Youngsters’ Mardi Gras enjoyable

The City of Biloxi, Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum, and Gulf Coast Carnival Association invite kids ages 12 and youthful to be a part of the Biloxi Children’s Mardi Gras Walking Parade, which takes place Saturday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. in Downtown Biloxi.

Participants could stroll, bike, skate, or be pushed or pulled in strollers and wagons. No motorized automobiles are allowed.

The parade theme is “Pop” in honor of Pop Art, the revolutionary artwork motion of the Nineteen Fifties and Nineteen Sixties. Children and households are invited to decorate in costume and embellish bicycles or wagons to have a good time the theme. Pop Art is understood for its daring, graphic fashion, and vibrant main colours, that includes iconic artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Richard Hamilton, in addition to native skills Walter Anderson, George Ohr, and Dusti Bonge.

Applications are distributed via Biloxi faculties and accessible on the Biloxi Visitors Center, 1050 Beach Blvd., Biloxi Parks & Recreation workplace, 377 Hiller Dr., Biloxi Recreation facilities, and the Gulf Coast Carnival workplace and Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum, 792 Howard Ave. The kinds will also be downloaded from the town’s web site at biloxi.ms.us/pr.
