While our world is stuffed with good colours, seeing it in monochrome might be hanging.
The 2025 Nature Photography Contest celebrates the “enduring power of black and white photography” and its potential “to deepen our connection with the natural world,” in response to a press launch. This 12 months’s contest welcomed submissions from 82 international locations and the winners embrace beautiful and intimate images of wildlife, all in black and white.
Photographer Lidija Novković earned high honors within the Professional class for a strong picture of a horse (seen beneath). Janet Gustin gained the Non-Professional class for a playful picture of a fox package nipping at its mom. Visit Exposure One for a full gallery of the honorees.
