ROTARY CLUB OF SAN MARCOS
The Rotary Club of San Marcos is internet hosting a Mardi Gras Casino Night fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 13 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. La Cima will function the Presenting Sponsor for the occasion.
The venue for the Casino would be the Centex Wing of the Commemorative Air Force Museum, 2249 Airport Rd. There shall be on line casino video games, Cajun meals, beer and wine, prizes and a $15,000 diamond raffle. Attendees are inspired to put on beads, masks and different Mardi Gras equipment. The Museum hanger shall be festively adorned for the Sweetheart’s Mardi Gras theme.
The Central Texas Wing Museum homes seven plane for which the Wing has upkeep and restoration accountability: a very-rare flying Bell P-39Q Airacobra Miss Connie, the NAA B-25J Yellow Rose, a Vultee BT-13 Valiant, a Cessna U-3A Administrator, a Beech C-45 Expeditor Lone Star Lady, the NAA AT-6 Texan,
and the Douglas Sktrain C-47 named That’s All Brother.
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF), previously often called the Confederate Air Force, is an American nonprofit group primarily based in Dallas that preserves and displays historic plane at airshows and museums, primarily within the U.S. and Canada. The CAF started in 1953, and right now has about 13,000 members, greater than 70 chapters, and greater than 170 plane, together with the world’s largest assortment of airworthy navy plane.
