Swimming and Diving Secures CSCAA All-America Honors

EASTON, Pa. – Lafayette’s males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving groups earned Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America, it was introduced on Tuesday.

CSCAA acknowledges packages that obtain the best requirements within the classroom whereas representing their establishment within the pool. In order to be eligible, groups will need to have a 3.0 or higher grade-point common (GPA) for the autumn semester.

The Leopard ladies got here in with a 3.55 GPA from 52 pupil athletes and the lads posted a 3.19 from 30 members of the crew.

“We are very excited to continue a very strong academic tradition of excellence making the CSCAA All-Academic Team list. I’m very proud of all our student athletes for balancing academics, athletics and self awareness as well as they do,” stated Lafayette head coach James Dailey.

“There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes things that happen to ensure our success. Thank you to the coaches, professors and support staff for allowing us to achieve this recognition,” Dailey continued. “We’re looking forward to the challenge of continuing the streak.”
