Facades of New London: Images by G. Roger Clements on the Lyman Allyn Museum

For the final fifteen years, photographer and architectural designer G. Roger Clements has documented New London’s buildings and concrete areas. Working with 35mm, medium-format, and large-format cameras and movie, Clements develops his images by hand in his New London studio and darkroom.

This exhibition displays Clements’ curiosity in native structure and historical past, with images that seize New London’s hanging buildings and areas. Clements’ eager eye for composition may be seen in images that doc geometric varieties, gentle and shadow, and dynamic contrasts in floor and texture.
