No. 2 Girls’s Swimming and Diving falls at Eddie Reese Texas Showdown

AUSTIN, Texas — The No. 2 Texas Women’s Swimming & Diving staff wrapped up Friday and Saturday morning competitors on the Eddie Reese Texas Showdown in second place with 487 factors, trailing Louisville (488) and forward of Ohio State (227) on the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Texas opened the AM periods within the 200-yard freestyle relay, ending with a time of 1:19.24.

In the 50-yard breaststroke, Ella Mongenel positioned fifth in 29.21, adopted by Lindsey Hosch in sixth at 29.38, whereas Haley McDonald completed tenth in 29.16.

The 200-yard breaststroke featured a number of Texas swimmers, led by Campbell Stoll, who positioned fourth in 2:12.34. Campbell Chase adopted in fifth at 2:14.99, Avery Collins completed sixth in 2:16.10, and Hosch positioned eighth in 2:18.31.

Texas earned key dash factors within the 50-yard freestyle, as Eva Okaro completed second in 21.75, whereas Alexa Fulton positioned fifth in 22.70. Erin Gemmell and Sienna Schellenger tied for sixth, each touching in 22.86.

In the 200-yard freestyle time trial, Inez Miller posted a time of 1:44.56.

The Longhorns closed the morning with a powerful exhibiting on the boards in 1-meter diving, sweeping the highest two spots. Bayleigh Cranford gained the occasion with 291.55 factors, adopted by Alejandra Estudillo in second at 288.05. Caroline Kupka positioned ninth with 273.30, and Sarah Carruthers completed twelfth at 257.35.
