WASHINGTON COUNTY ISSUES TRAVEL ADVISORY, URGING NO UNNECESSARY TRAVEL (Issued: 01/25 @ 5:00 PM)
Washington County, New York Board of Supervisors Chairman Robert Henke has issued a TRAVEL ADVISORY in response to the winter storm presently affecting our space. Based on the present forecast, our space is anticipated to obtain 18″-24″ of snow with snowfall charges as much as 1″-2″ per hour (3″ in the heaviest bands), at times, making travel conditions difficult and potentially dangerous.

Residents are STRONGLY URGED TO AVOID UNNECCESARY TRAVEL during the height of the storm, putting yourself and our Public Works and First Responder personnel at further risk. If you must travel… #KnowBeforeYouGo and ensure you communicate your travel plans with family/friends and you’re prepared for difficult travel. The Travel Advisory remains in effect through 12:00 PM tomorrow (Monday, January 26th), unless rescinded sooner or extended further.

WASHINGTON COUNTY FACILITIES CLOSED ON MONDAY
