Dissolving Boundaries: A Multimedia Photography Workshop

Paint, layer, and {photograph} translucent supplies to replicate motion, change, and environmental transformation on this multimedia workshop, creating photographs that seize fleeting moments and delicate transitions. Led by Teaching Artist-in-Residence Susan Richman, and impressed by works in Modern Women / Modern Vision by Barbara Morgan and Imogen Cunningham, in addition to Richman’s personal Dissolving Boundaries sequence that paperwork the altering setting.

Susan Richman is a recent American photographer whose work explores impermanence, environmental loss, and transformation. Based in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, she creates poetic photographs that protect fleeting moments within the pure world, honoring vegetation, animals, and landscapes whose decline requires reflection.

Richman holds levels from George Washington University and Art Center College of Design. After a profession as a business photographer in Manhattan, she transitioned to high-quality artwork and later taught on the International Center of Photography. Her work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the U.S., together with on the Hudson River Museum, Arkell Museum, Center for Fine Art Photography, and Silvermine Galleries, and is held in quite a few non-public collections.
