Former Knoxville WBIR anchor launches new way of life Instagram account

Longtime WBIR anchor Abby Ham is staying in Knoxville. She revealed her new profession on-line – one that also has East Tennessee at its core.

Following her departure from Channel 10, Ham has taken on a task as a media coach, speechwriter, speaker and Knoxville content material creator, based on her Facebook announcements.

“I’m taking everything I love and everything I’m good at and building something new,” Ham posted. “The next chapter feels really exciting.”

Ham launched an Instagram way of life account referred to as “weknowpeopleknox.” The longtime reporter described the web page as a spot “dedicated to the best of East Tennessee from the places that never get old to the people and brands shaping the city in the coolest ways.”

Ham, 45, walked away from the morning anchor job at Channel 10 as a result of she wanted a change, based on her on-air departure announcement on Jan. 6.

Ham spent twenty years anchoring the information for Knoxville, beginning at WBIR in 2006 as a weekend anchor. Her final day on the WBIR anchor desk was Jan 16.
