Professor Helal Uddin Ahmed is a psychiatrist who graduated in 1999 from Chittagong Medical College and accomplished his MD in Psychiatry in 2011 from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He additionally obtained a Master of Public Health diploma from the University of South Asia, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He accomplished fellowship coaching in Child Psychiatry from Fondazione Child, Italy, and obtained specialised coaching in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities from South Korea. He was awarded a fellowship by the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology (JSPN Fellow) in 2010, the Indo-Global Psychiatric Initiative Fellowship (IGPI Fellow) in 2011, and the Y-Mind Fellowship from São Paulo, Brazil, in 2013. He has authored or co-authored greater than 100 scientific publications and has introduced 25 scientific papers at worldwide conferences held in Bangladesh, Argentina, Canada, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Brazil, Italy, and Spain.
