Henderson County has 2,000 with out energy a day after storm slams Carolinas

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The newest Duke Energy energy outage map exhibits hundreds with out energy in Henderson County.

A majority of these with out energy had been within the Hendersonville space. As of 8:30 a.m. Feb. 1, Duke Energy is reporting 2,000 with out energy within the county.

Chief Communications Officer Mike Morgan spoke with News 13 early within the morning, giving updates in regards to the present situations there.

“We continue to encourage residents to stay off the roads to allow NCDOT, Duke Energy and emergency services to do their jobs. Many roads are snow covered in the county and travel is not advised,” he stated. “We will continue to monitor the wind gusts and extreme cold warning and ask residents to stay inside if they can.”

There had been additionally 1,000 outages within the Franklin space, in line with Duke Energy.
