La Crosse, Wis. –

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse males’s swimming & diving staff earned a 181-119 twin victory over UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon within the Richard Pein Natatorium in Mitchell Hall.

UWL improves to 3-1 general and 2-1 within the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).  

The Eagles received 12 occasions on Saturday.

Preston Nygaard received three titles on Saturday, together with the 100 (56.30) and 200 (2:03.41) breaststroke and 200 I.M. (1:58.21). Jacob Ketterling positioned second within the 100 (53.75) and 200 (1:59.56) backstroke with Isaac Mozena ending second within the 200 butterfly (2:04.33) and third within the 100 butterfly (53.77).

UWL’s Gavin LaBeau completed second within the 200 freestyle (1:50.69) with Luca Nociti third within the 100 freestyle (49.11).

In Saturday’s diving competitors, Ethan Pedersen positioned third within the three-meter (255.40 factors).

UWL swept each relays with Ketterling, Nygaard, Elfers and Hammes successful the 200 medley relay (1:34.25) and Ketterling, Hartmann, Coby Zander and Hammes capturing the 400 freestyle relay (3:11.31).

UWL returns to motion Friday, February 6 on the University of Minnesota First Chance Invitational.
