Senior Day Sparks Sweep Over Salukis

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou males’s and girls’s swimming and diving swept the Salukis of Southern Illinois on Senior Day as the lads’s squad outscored SIU 195-97 and the ladies’s squad secured a 198-91 victory on Saturday, Jan. 31 on the Mizzou Aquatic Center.

This is the Tigers’ second twin sweep this season, as the lads’s crew improves to 2-3 and the ladies’s crew is 3-2. 

Three senior swimmers picked up victories, as Jan Zubik and Karolina Bank every secured two wins on the afternoon. Zubik swept the fly occasions, choosing up wins within the 100 and 200 fly with occasions of 46.60 and 1:42.02. Bank took residence the gold for the 100-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 59.39, in addition to being a part of the profitable 400-yard freestyle relay.
