Children flock to Harris Hill for day of winter enjoyable

Penfield, N.Y. — While many are dreaming of hotter days, loads of children have been proper the place they wished to be Sunday — hitting the slopes for some sledding.

“I’m sledding with him and we’re having a lot of fun, and we keep going down that hill that I almost died on,” stated Ellie Cohen.

“I wasn’t doing anything today and then he (Connor) just texted me, and was like, ‘want to go sled?’ and I said, ‘Yeah! I like sledding!'” stated Ellie Cohen.

Several children and households flocked to Harris Hill at Harris Whalen Park, the place the chilly temperatures and up to date snowfall solely contributed to the enjoyable.

“Safe to say there’s a lot more snow then there was last time!” stated Connor Ball.

“The cold is one of my favorite seasons,” stated Aubreeona Reyome. “So, sledding is one of my favorite things to do and stuff, so it’s really fun out here.”

Sledders stated Harris Hill gives a singular set of jumps and bumps.

“I’ve been to a lot of other hills,” stated Madelyn Ferro. “But, I think that I really like this one because I love steep hills.”

“We realized there’s a massive jump, and that’s what’s really the funnest part about this right now.” stated JJ Rothfuss. “It’s pretty scary when you go down the first time, but after you get used to it, it’s not that bad.”

“It’s really fun!” stated JJ’s buddy, Grayson Pitti. “I really like the jump. This kid (Henry) is crazy, he goes down standing up!”

“Sometimes I go down and be very scared, and then just bail,” stated Henry Rothfuss. “But most of the time, I just stand up.”
