Cold Front Duluth attracts households to Bayfront for winter enjoyable

People throughout the Northland gathered at Bayfront Festival Park for the ninth annual Cold Front Duluth occasion on Saturday. The metropolis’s Parks and Recreation workforce organized the occasion to deliver households collectively for winter actions. The winter enjoyable together with sledding, ice skating, curling and simply having fun with the snow.

Joshua Forsman, a resident from Ely visiting Cold Front Duluth for the primary time, shared his ideas.

“Obviously smaller hills than what I’m used to and some of the other ones I’ve been around here. But you know what, it’s great for all the little ones to just have fun,”Forsman stated. “It’s such a nice safe environment here too, which is so great.”

Megan Lidd, a recreation specialist with the town, stated the employees are already planning for subsequent yr’s Cold Front Duluth.

“So every year we’re always looking for different ways to change things up and add something new. We’re always eager to get groups and organizations involved with our work,” Lidd stated. “We’re just always excited to bring people together in our park spaces, summer or winter”.

Cold Front Duluth continued till 7 p.m. with actions for teenagers of all ages. They ended the day with a “Glow Front” ice skating celebration that includes glow sticks, celebration lights and music.
