LHS photographers break Scholastic awards data

LIBERTY, NY — Liberty images college students gained a record-breaking 37 keys and 28 honorable mentions on this yr’s Mid Hudson Regional Scholastic competitors.

Allison Vasko led Liberty with seven gold and 5 silver keys and 4 honorable mentions.

“To me, photography is more than just a camera,” Allison stated. “It’s about capturing moments that last a lifetime. Turning fleeting experiences into sentimental memories is what I love most. Being recognized for my photos feels like an important milestone in my photography journey, and I’m excited to see where it leads next.”

The Mid-Hudson Regional division reaches into Poughkeepsie and elements of Westchester in addition to Sullivan and Ulster counties.

Works that earn gold keys are within the prime 5 p.c of works judged. Silver keys are within the prime 10 p.c. Honorable mentions are within the prime 12 p.c. Gold key winners will likely be adjudicated once more for attainable participation within the nationwide competitors.
