In Memoriam: Luis Mata, Culinart Employees

Luis Mata joined the Culinart UN household in 1993 and devoted greater than three a long time of service to our neighborhood.

Throughout his tenure, Luis labored throughout a number of café places at UN Headquarters in New York, together with the Main Café and the Vienna Café, the place he turned a well-known and welcoming presence for colleagues and visitors alike.

Most not too long ago, in November 2025, Luis was a valued member of the North Delegates Lounge staff.

His professionalism and optimistic angle left a long-lasting impression on those that had the pleasure of working alongside him or being served by him.

Luis’ contributions went past his day by day tasks. He helped create an environment of heat and reliability that outlined the areas he labored in.

He shall be remembered not just for his years of devoted service, but in addition for the kindness and humanity he delivered to the office.

Luis shall be deeply missed by the United Nations neighborhood. He is survived by his loving spouse and three youngsters. Our ideas and condolences are together with his household, mates, and all these whose lives he had touched.
