MINNEAPOLIS – The Gustavus Adolphus College ladies’s swimming and diving group is competing this week within the MIAC Championship. Hosted on the Jean Ok. Freeman Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus, the four-day championship runs February 11-14.
 
In the opening evening of the championship on Wednesday, the Gusties positioned first within the 800 freestyle relay and took fourth within the 200 medley relay. Gustavus leads the MIAC after the opening classes with 70 factors, up by 4 over second-place Saint Benedict.
 
The group of Geneva Fackler, Caitlyn Otto, Leah Felton, and Stella Anderson Moye gained the 800 freestyle relay for Gustavus with a time of seven:43.68. The Gusties bested runner-up Macalester within the race by 0.96 seconds. Gustavus entered the championship meet with the second-best MIAC time within the occasion at 7:56.13, trailing St. Olaf at 7:54.44.
