Girls’s Swimming and Diving Strikes Into Third After Day Three Of NSIC Championships

FARGO, N.D. – The Augustana ladies’s swimming & diving staff completed day three the NSIC Championships on Friday, leaping into third place with 424 factors on the Hulbert Aquatic Center. 

Two Vikings earned a spot within the 100 Back A-Final, with Gracin Larson main the 2 in fourth after ending 57.09 and Ella Ward-Zeller’s 57.29 was good for sixth at 57.29. Nathalia Silva took the highest spot within the B-Final in 57.73 whereas Maggie Lombardi positioned twelfth in 58.53.  

Ava Brogren and Jisella Haskamp every claimed spots within the A-Final of the 100 Breast. Brogren earned the fourth spot with a time of 1:04.69 whereas Haskamp positioned eighth in 1:06.45. 

In the 200 Fly, Sofia Ospina took an A-Final spot whereas Maggie Lombardi and Kierstyn Nelson every competed within the B-Final. Ospina took sixth in 2:09.52 whereas Lombardi and Nelson completed tenth and eleventh in 2:13.13 and a couple of:13.39, respectively.

Margaret Reed earned a spot within the A-Final within the 500 Free, ending sixth with a time of 5:08.56. In the B-Final, Abbey Nynas took eleventh after closing in 5:13.46 and Tova Blikre completed 18th in 5:18.62 within the C-Final. 

The night time completed within the 200 Free Relay the place the staff of Brogren, Larson, Silva and Sofia Hein took fourth in 1:36.00. In the B-Final, Reed, Lombardi, Haskamp and Nelson took twelfth in a time of 1:37.82. 

The Vikings shut the NSIC Championships on Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
