Heusner Snags Medal in 100-Yard Breaststroke to Lead Swimming on Day Three at Atlantic East Conference Championships

ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming group stays regular in fifth place after the third day on the Atlantic East Conference Championships on Saturday, tallying 176 factors.

First-year Nyasia Fernandez (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) clocked a prelim time of 6:31.56 within the 400-yard IM after which turned in a time of 6:28.05 within the finals.

Sophomore Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) was the lone participant within the 100-yard butterfly for the Falcons. Nadasi touched in 1:23.05 within the prelims after which trimmed off 4 seconds within the finals (1:19.05).

First-year Maria Aragon (Albuquerque, N.M./Rio Grande) and senior Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) had been the representatives within the water for Cedar Crest within the 200-yard freestyle. Aragon swam a time of two:22.90 within the prelims and a couple of:22.09 within the finals whereas Reinhart adopted with a prelim time of two:42.41 and a couple of:44.06 within the finals.

Junior Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross) medaled within the 100-yard breaststroke, taking third within the finals with a time of 1:12.22.

First-year Kaitlyn Cohen (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) was the one Falcon within the water for the 100-yard backstroke, tallying a time of 1:22.72 within the prelims and 1:23.17 within the finals.

In the ultimate occasion of the day, the group of Cohen, Heusner, Nadasi, and Aragon positioned fifth within the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 5:04.34.

Cedar Crest will conclude the Championships on Sunday, February 15 with the prelims starting at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 4:00 p.m.
