ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – The Cedar Crest College swimming crew completed fifth on the Atlantic East Conference Championships, which concluded on Sunday. The Falcons recorded 249 factors over the four-day occasion.

First-year Kaitlyn Cohen (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) was the lone Cedar Crest participant within the 200-yard backstroke, registering a prelim time of three:11.82 after which clocked a time of three:07.69 within the finals.

In the 100-yard freestyle, first-year Nyasia Fernandez (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) touched in 1:08.62 within the prelims and 1:08.35 within the finals, putting tenth.

Junior Rylie Heusner (Scranton, Pa./Holy Cross) tallied a four-place end within the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of two:42.68 within the prelims and a pair of:40.78 within the finals.

Sophomore Madison Nadasi (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) was within the pool for the 200-yard butterfly, swimming a time of three:12.80 within the prelims and three:12.97 within the finals.

First-year Maria Aragon (Albuquerque, N.M./Rio Grande) and senior Alyssa Reinhart (Easton, Pa./Easton) had been the Falcon representatives within the 1650-yard freestyle. Aragon touched tenth (23:07.63) and Reinhart adopted in 11th (24:31.25).

The Championships completed with the 400-yard freestyle relay and the crew of Heusner, Cohen, Fernandez, and Reinhart took fifth in a time of 4:40.99.

The conclusion of the Championships marked the top of the season for Cedar Crest.
