The Sony World Photography Awards has simply revealed the class winners and shortlisted photographers in its Open competitors 2026.

The Open competitors acknowledges the most effective single photographs to have been taken within the final 12 months.

Unlike the opposite competitions throughout the Sony World Photography Awards, the place entrants submit a sequence of images, the Open competitors is all a couple of single picture, so the photographer will get only one probability to impress.

This 12 months’s Open competitors was judged by Ruby Rees-Sheridan, Assistant Curator of Photography on the National Portrait Gallery in London, UK.

“The winners and shortlists represent a diverse range of photographs,” says awards producer Creo, “from striking landscapes to thoughtful portraits, and both captivating and humorous scenes from nature.”

The Sony World Photography Awards is now in its nineteenth 12 months and over 430,000 photographs from over 200 international locations and territories have been submitted throughout this 12 months’s competitions.
