Journey not really useful throughout japanese Iowa Friday morning

Local legislation enforcement says journey is treacherous with roads fully coated in snow Friday morning and urged residents to not journey until vital.

“Tow trucks are unable to keep up,” the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office shared in a post. If you’ll journey and get stranded it could be a pair hours earlier than legislation enforcement or a tow truck could get to you.”

The Sheriff’s Office shared photographs of automobiles and semi vehicles stranded off of Highway 52 Friday morning. They mentioned the roads have been 100% coated in snow.

The Iowa State Patrol up to date its name totals. Between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., there have been 155 requires service, 40 new property injury crashes and 5 extra harm crashes.

“Leave yourself plenty of extra time and make sure you have a preparedness kit which includes blankets, food, water, and a phone charger with you,” the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office and Decorah Police Department sahred. “Be safe, be prepared, let loved ones know your route if you must travel.”

Iowa DOT reported a number of crashes and stalled automobiles Friday.

Alliant Energy reported over 800 buyer outages round 6:40 a.m. Friday.

The University of Northern Iowa has delayed opening till 10 a.m. Friday.
