MIT Surges into First Place Following Day Two of NEWMAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On the energy of seven All-Conference performances and 4 occasion victories, MIT moved into first place following the second day of the NEWMAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship, hosted by MIT on the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center Pool. 

MIT leads the best way with 524.5 factors , with Coast Guard in second place (364 factors), WPI in third place (298.5 factors), Babson in fourth place (279 factors), Wheaton in fifth place (234 factors), Springfield in sixth place (215 factors), and Clark in seventh place (126 factors). 

Competition will resume tomorrow, Saturday, February 21, at MIT with prelims at 10:00 AM, adopted by the finals at 6:00 PM. Tomorrow’s occasions will embrace the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, 1-Meter Diving, and the 200 Medley Relay.
