Swimming & Diving Earns Silver on Day Three of American Conference Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The FIU swimming & diving program added one other podium end Friday night time throughout day three of the American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Sophomore Frida Stretre Løbersli earned silver within the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.80, marking FIU’s lone medal of the night.

After three days of competitors, the Panthers sit fourth general with 700 factors.

In the 100 backstroke, sophomore Claudia Frasca posted a personal-best time of 54.30 to complete fifth. Pauline Zeller captured the B Final with a time of 53.80, whereas Maria Goncalves positioned fifteenth general (56.05). Carla Mailharrou completed twenty fourth within the C Final with a time of 56.66.

In the 100 breaststroke, Sally Olsson positioned third within the B Final (1:02.51), and Lutnya Bogdanova completed fifteenth general (1:03.12). Stella Warbon (1:03.79) and Tawannah McLemore (1:03.88) competed within the C Final.

The 800 free relay crew of Oumy Diop, Nicole Frank, Ana Luiza Daisson and Zeller positioned eighth with a time of seven:26.71.

On the diving boards, FIU had two opponents within the 3-meter comfort ultimate. Kristina Keenan gained the comfort ultimate with a rating of 289.30, whereas Brooke Megdall positioned sixteenth general (236.90).
