Swimming & Diving Concludes Competitors At BIG EAST Championship

OCALA, FLA. – The Providence College swimming & diving applications concluded competitors on the 2026 BIG EAST Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Feb. 20 in Ocala, Fla.

Rory Sheridan was the lone Friar to compete within the ladies’s 1,650-yard freestyle in the course of the BIG EAST Championship. She performed 15^th with a time of 17:13.61.

Bella Lombard paced a gaggle of Friars within the finals of the 200-yard backstroke with a 12^th-place end in a time of two:02.47. Brooke Sowka touched the wall in 2:03.70 for 18^th place, adopted by Siara Celentano (21^st, 2:06.78) and Liza Goetcheus (24^th, 2:12.90).

Five Friars competed within the finals of the 100-yard free and had been led by Elizabeth Burke’s 16^th-place end (52.46). Madelyn Harvey, who completed 24^th within the prelims, jumped to 19^th within the last with a time of 53.07. She was adopted by Natalia Robak in 20^th (53.10) and Julia Renzelmann in 21^st (53.12). Lauren Wagner had a powerful race within the 200-yard breaststroke last with an 11^th-place end in 2:20.62. Madi Ebanks claimed 17^th (2:25.83).

Annie Gathof led the way in which for the ladies’s squad within the finals of the 200-yard butterfly with a 16^th-place displaying in 2:08.11. Sheridan, competing in her second last of the day, positioned 21^st with a time of two:11.93. Mackenzie Riga rounded out the sphere with a 24^th-place end (2:16.81).

The ladies’s concluded competitors with the 400-yard freestyle relay comprised of Elizabeth Burke, Madelyn Harvey, Julia Renzelmann and Natalia Robak. The group completed seventh with a time of three:30.74.

The males’s 400-yard freestyle relay group closed out the BIG EAST Championship with Kieran Duffy, Stachowicz, Thayer and Hawkins taking fifth place (3:03.79).
