The Doux Presents “Our Kind of Women” Images Exhibit in Atlanta for International Women’s Day; Celebrating Black Women Over 40

ATLANTA, Feb. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — In celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, The Doux will host and current Our Kind of Women, a images exhibit and cultural storytelling expertise honoring Black ladies over 40 who’re boldly defining radiance, energy, and function on their very own phrases. In inventive partnership with actor, director and Philanthropist Terri J. Vaughn, the occasion will happen Sunday, March 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Doux headquarters and can function a public gallery exhibition and personal reception. Terri J. Vaughn has a long-standing historical past of advocating for girls all through the size of her profession and has been instrumental in rising consciousness for this mission. 

Created by photographer and visible storyteller Bessie Akuba Winn, Our Kind of Women is an ongoing images exhibit, forthcoming coffee-table ebook, and rising neighborhood motion devoted to celebrating multigenerational Black ladies who embody authenticity, inventive excellence, and self-defined magnificence. Featured members embrace actress Terri J. Vaughn, Joi Gilliam, Rashan Ali, Dawn Montgomery, and Maya Smith.

As the official presenting sponsor, The Doux will host the Atlanta exhibition and neighborhood gathering, bringing collectively artwork, storytelling, and dialog in recognition of the cultural impression and continued affect of Black ladies of their prime.
