Behrend males’s swimming and diving crew wins SUNYAC championship

ERIE, Pa. — The Penn State Behrend males’s swimming and diving crew gained its first State University of New York Athletic Conference championship in a four-day meet in Buffalo, New York. The ladies’s crew positioned second.

The males’s crew defeated the earlier winner, Cortland, by 117 factors. Will Perham, a senior from Upper St. Clair, gained the 200 breaststroke, ending in 2:04.51. Glenn Fowkes, a junior from Vandergrift, gained the 200 backstroke, ending in 1:51.62.

Anthony Tumino, a senior from Hershey, gained the 100 freestyle, ending in 45.85.

Isaac Stoeckle, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, set a crew file within the 100 backstroke, ending in 48.20. He gained the occasion and was named Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet.
