Martini Leads Divers with Ninth-Place End at NCAA III Central Regional; DeBernardo, Thornton and Lieb Place in Prime-22

Kalamazoo, Mich. – Four members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse girls’s swimming & diving staff accomplished last day motion on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Central Diving Championships Saturday within the Kalamazoo College (Mich.) Natatorium.

In Saturday’s three-meter competitors, UWL’s Hannah Martini positioned ninth (415.55 factors) with Emma Lieb fifteenth (373.85), Abbey Thornton twentieth (355.10) and Madison DeBernardo twenty second (352.60).

Martini positioned tenth (380.15) whereas Thornton was sixteenth (369.35) in Friday’s one-meter whereas Lieb was twenty fifth (348.25) and DeBernardo twenty ninth (323.60).

 

A complete of 32 divers competed within the one-meter competitors and 31 within the three-meter. 

The top-eight finishers advance to the NCAA Division III Championships scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 by means of Saturday, March 21 on the Indiana University Indianapolis IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Martini and DeBernardo appeared of their second NCAA Division III Diving Regional. At the 2025 regional in Granville, Ohio, Martini positioned eleventh (393.00 factors) within the one-meter competitors and fifteenth (381.35) within the three-meter whereas DeBernardo completed thirtieth within the one-meter (321.85) and twenty third (344.00) within the three-meter.

Lieb and Thornton have been making their first journey to the diving regional.
