WEST FARGO — While West Fargo was smashing its competitors on the Eastern Dakota Conference boys swimming and diving championships on Saturday, the Packers took intention at convention and pool information as properly.

West Fargo received all 12 occasions on Saturday, beating second-place Fargo North by 99 factors. In all, the Packers set 4 pool information and 7 convention marks.

Elhard received the 200 free and 100 butterfly with new EDC marks. Isaiah Ayres broke the convention and pool document within the 500 and set a brand new EDC customary within the 100 breaststroke.

Brody Engelstad broke his personal EDC and pool information within the 50 free (19.86 seconds) and 100 free (44.48).

“It was fun. I just enjoy getting out and racing and seeing the guys do well,” Engelstad stated.

Engelstad stated competing for occasions, even in opposition to his personal teammates, is what retains them striving for extra.

“Honestly, between the teammates and coaches, those are the big two,” the Indiana commit stated. “Just having fun with them, they push me to be better and I push them to be better. The coaches help us out with everything.”

“Many of them actually set records that are faster than the state meet, and we’ll see if that happens again next weekend,” Montplaisir stated.
