So this is my profession (thus far):

Xanga: Journalism Intern (unpaid)
Seventeen Magazine: Fashion Intern (unpaid)
NGO in Ghana: Program Coordinator ($50/month stipend)
Fellowship in India: Digital Storyteller ($200/month stipend)
Fellowship in Egypt: Research Fellow ($600/month stipend)
“International School” (Cairo, Egypt): Kindergarten Teacher ($1000/month)
Social Media Agency (Cairo, Egypt): Account Manager ($1000/month)
PR Firm (NYC): Account Coordinator ($40K/yr)
Start-up Co-Founder/CMO (NYC) ($700/week)
Travel Start-up: Growth Marketer ($60k/yr)
Performance Agency: Digital Ads Manager ($65k/yr)
Bigger Performance Agency: Growth Director ($145k/yr)

^ I stayed at this final position for 3+ years and had a superb profession/wage development, ended as a Senior Performance Creative Director.

I’ve been alone as a advisor/creator since June 2023.

Some different enjoyable info:
– I labored retail throughout my unpaid internships. Specifically the Anthro at Rockefeller Center 🙂
– I bought my first advertising and marketing position once I was 25. It was in Cairo, Egypt.
– I didn’t contact Facebook Ads till I grew to become a founder myself

Also: My internship at Seventeen paradoxically helped me get numerous my first humanitarian roles. And these humanitarian roles at all times made me stand out when interviewing for advertising and marketing jobs.

Even now once I interview artistic strategists, I’m not searching for the proper development. I’m searching for a singular story. I’m searching for a special POV.
