PREVIEW: Molly Kennedy To Compete at NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving National Championships

After a record-breaking efficiency on the Northeast 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, SCSU Swimming and Diving standout Molly Kennedy will compete on the NCAA National Championship meet in Evansville Indiana from March 10-14th. 

Kennedy certified for the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. Kennedy will swim the 50 first on Wednesday March 11, the 200 the next day and finish with the 100 on Saturday. The preliminary rounds for all her races start at 10am and the finals start at 5:30. All NCAA action will be streamed live on NCAA.com and all live results will be tracked. 

At the Northeast 10 championship, Molly Kennedy’s most excellent swimmer of the meet efficiency noticed her seize seven whole medals, profitable six championships and capturing one silver medal. Kennedy helped SCSU seize the 400-yard medley relay, the 800-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. Individually Kennedy gained the 50-, 100-and 200-yard freestyle which she will probably be swimming on the championship. Also, Kennedy gained the silver medal within the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Kennedy certified for the 100 freestyle with a convention document of fifty.52, which ranks twentieth within the nation. Kennedy certified for the 50 free with a time of 23.42, which ranks first within the Northeast 10 and ties her for forty fourth within the nation. In the 200 free, Kennedy additionally swam the highest time within the convention with a time of 1:51.22 and ties her for 37^th in DII.
