Hoosier Divers Increase NCAA Championship Packages

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Four Indiana divers added a second occasion to their applications for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Tuesday (March 10), the second day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships contained in the Jones Natatorium on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.

Having all certified on one springboard Monday, the Hoosier quartet of senior Maxwell Weinrich, sophomore Joshua Sollenberger and juniors Lily Witte and Ella Roselli simply wanted prime 12 finishes in Tuesday’s occasions. They can all qualify for a 3rd occasion – platform – with comparable performances Wednesday.

On the 3-meter springboard, Witte acquired her second runner-up end in two days with a rating of 652.60. Roselli bounced again from a failed dive – which means she scored no factors – within the second spherical of prelims to complete No. 8 general. Finishing tenth and eleventh respectively on 1-meter, Weinrich (670.65) and Sollenberger (670.45) narrowly grasped their second NCAA bids with near-identical scores.
