In a park in Menomonee Falls, Erika Mork and her father Stephen are being guided down a snowy hill in late January with Erika’s 12-year-old canine, Cinnamon. Erika calls her Cinna. “I struggled finding a photographer that would take us and my dog and my young child as photography clients with a reasonable price,” Hongsermeier stated. “I found that that was very much: if I have photos with him, I’ve honored him in some way. It was important for me to honor him prior to his death.”

In Menomonee Falls, Erika and Stephen deliver Cinnamon via the park, stopping a number of occasions to put down a blanket and pose for pictures. Hongsermeier directs Erika and Stephen and makes whining noises to get Cinna’s consideration. Erika and Stephen chortle.
