Evansville, Ind. — The Catawba College ladies’s swimming staff added 4 extra All-American performances to the week’s tally on Day Four of the NCAA Division II National Championships in Evansville on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
PRELIMS
500-Yard Freestyle
– Danielle Meinema punched her ticket to the Championship A remaining within the Women’s 500 Free with a 4:54.42 swim within the prelims, good for seventh within the morning session
– Fiona Byrne raced to a 4:58.62 mark, good for 14th and a Championship B remaining spot
100-Yard Backstroke
– Eniko Onofer simply missed out on a remaining within the 100 Back with a time of 55.97 seconds
100-Yard Breaststroke
– Mahee Gory-Lauret earned her first Championship A remaining berth of her profession within the Women’s 100 Breast with a mark a second and a half higher than her seed time
– Gabi Moll positioned thirty second within the prelim area with a mark of 1:04.26
FINALS
500-Yard Freestyle
– Meinema positioned eighth within the 500 Free finals and Byrne was sixteenth so as to add two extra All-Americans to the Catawba Indians’ tally on the week
100-Yard Breaststroke
– Gory-Lauret maintained her seventh spot within the 100 Breast finals with a mark of 1:01.97
200-Yard Freestyle Relay
– Catawba’s Women’s 200 Free Relay staff of Onofer, Marit Reckmann, Sydney Peterson and Eszter Pajor positioned eighth within the 200 Free Relay, including one other First Team All-America swim
